Carrington Transfers runs private vehicles. You are not sharing with other passengers, the vehicle leaves when you are in it, and it goes directly to your address.
We are telling you this plainly because a lot of operators sell a shared shuttle under the word 'transfer' and let you find out at the airport. If a shared seat is specifically what you want, we would rather you knew that up front than discovered it after booking.

The break-even sits at about two passengers. From three upwards a private vehicle is usually both cheaper in total and an hour faster.
Why shuttles are thin on the ground at Ercan
A shared shuttle model needs a steady stream of passengers heading to the same handful of stops. North Cyprus does not really provide that: arrivals are concentrated into a few connecting flights from Turkey, many of them overnight, and the destinations are scattered from Alsancak in the west to Bafra in the east.
The result is that shuttle services here either wait a long time to fill, or cover only the Kyrenia and Nicosia corridors. For anywhere else — Esentepe, İskele, Long Beach, Bafra, the Karpaz — there is usually nothing shared to book, which is why a private transfer is the standard way visitors reach those areas.
If budget is the priority
There are legitimate ways to bring the cost of a private transfer down, and none of them involve a worse service.
- Travel together. The price is per vehicle, so every extra passenger lowers the cost per head.
- Book the return at the same time — it is cheaper as a pair than two one-way bookings.
- Choose the vehicle by luggage, not by instinct; a saloon is cheaper than a minivan and often enough.
- Fly into Ercan rather than Larnaca if fares are comparable — the ground leg is a third of the distance.
- Book ahead. Same-day availability narrows to whatever is left, which is rarely the cheapest vehicle.

How can I keep the cost down?
Travel together so the per-vehicle price splits further, book the return at the same time, size the vehicle by luggage rather than instinct, and book in advance while the cheaper vehicles are still available.
